Agency Showcase Competition nominations due

Posted on Tuesday 27 November 2007

This Friday, November 30 is the deadline for nominations to be submitted for the annual Agency Showcase Competition. This is the premiere communications and marketing competition for park and recreation agencies.

Nominations must be submitted online for judging in the competition and you may also send a hard copy of your nominated piece to the IPRA office for display at the 2008 Soaring To New Heights Conference.

Like last year, there will be plaques awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries in each category - along with a People’s Choice Award that is chosen by people like you. The Agency Showcase Competition is also judged in two different divisions - work that is done by in-house staff or work that is completed by a contracted designer.

Nominations that have been submitted so far have been excellent! Agencies across the state have really stepped up their marketing efforts in the past few years and it shows. Maybe your work deserves some recognition…there’s only one way to find out - nominate your work.

Nominations are only $25 each and your agency will be invoiced…that’s right, no need to worry about getting a check signed right away. Hurry and nominate your work today!

Here are this year’s award categories:

  • Single Catalog Cover
  • Catalog Cover Series
  • Single Catalog Content
  • Annual Report Content
  • Facility, Program or Event Piece
  • Logo Design
  • Web Site Design
  • Printed Newsletters
  • Electronic Newsletters
  • Most Improved Marketing Piece

A neat benefit of submitting your Agency Showcase Competition nomination electronically is that IPRA will have all the entries available for viewing online via our Flickr picture gallery. Now you can easily get design ideas with the click of a mouse! The 2007 entries will be made available to the public after the main judging takes place.
