Do you know what to do when you spot a coyote in your backyard or when visiting one of your parks or forest preserves? Learn all about coyotes and how to respond to them if they cross your path at Coyote Chat, an informal discussion about coyote behavior and the differences between coyotes and other members of the dog family.
At Coyote Chat, Lake County Forest Preserve professional staff will talk about the coyotes currently living at Cuba Marsh and at other Preserves throughout Lake County. The program is free and is offered on Monday, July 17, at 6:30 p.m., at Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve near Barrington. It is open to all ages and registration is not required.
If you can’t make the discussion, there are simple steps people can take to avoid problems with coyotes at their homes and while visiting Forest Preserves.
For more information about coyotes attend the Coyote Chat program or download the Lake County Guide to Coyotes from the Forest Preserve website at www.LCFPD.org.
