“A Glenview man was bit after he was hand feeding a coyote…I don’t have much sympathy for that individual,” said Chris Anchor from the Cook County Forest Preserve District in a recent Daily Herald article.
The coyote population in the Chicago suburbs is ultimately being pushed out of it’s natural habitat and the wild animals have begun “mingling” with residents. The article says that the majority of coyote in the area are not dangerous to us humans but feeding them can result in dangerous accidents.
Those of you out there controlling the wildlife in your parks and forest preserves…any suggestions for maintaining a comfortable space between man and beast?
