EAB Found in Evanston

Yet another Chicagoland suburb has fallen victim to the Emerald Ash Borer. Evanston, IL has reported infestation on seven trees in Lovelace Park as well as some private property.

Evanston has 4,059 ash trees on its parkway and in its parks, which is about 12 percent of the city’s 33,000 public trees. Additionally, there are thousands of ash trees on private property in Evanston. Widespread EAB infestation could be disastrous for the city’s Ash population.
