Saturday morning at Chicago’s Hanson Stadium was site for the annual Hershey Track & Field State Meet. Despite the 90+ degree weather it was reported by one of the volunteer timers that over 700 kids were competing at the meet. The annual Hershey Track & Field State Meet would not be possible without the kids from park districts across the state who competed in local and regional meets in order to advance to the State Meet. Thank you also to their parents who have supported them.

A huge thanks goes out to TJ Rogness of the Chicago Park District and Ryan Sparrow of the Channahon Park District who coordinated this very successful event. Also, thank you to the many volunteers from agencies across the state, especially the folks from the Chicago Park District. We could not have done this without your help and dedication to the event.
