The South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce that Shane Hamilton has been promoted to parks supervisor. Shane will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the parks, assisting in park development, playground safety and other aspects of the park system in the Village of South Elgin.

He will still have programming responsibilities for some of the major recreation programs he has developed over the years. Shane has worked for the South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department as a seasonal laborer advancing to the position of recreation supervisor over the past 9 years. Shane’s knowledge in the field of parks and recreation has brought the department to a higher standard. Please join our staff in congratulating Shane in his new position.

Shane has been a member of IPRA since January 2001.
