The National Association of Recreation Resource Planners (NARRP) annual conference brings together outdoor recreation planners, natural resource managers and researchers interested in advancing the art and science of recreation resource planning. Conference attendees represent federal, state, local and regional government agencies as well as universities, the private sector and non-profit agencies from throughout the country and abroad.
This year’s conference is co-sponsored by the Organization of Wildlife Planners and will provide a forum for planners in both fields to learn from each other, generate new ideas for collaborative approaches to planning, and foster camaraderie among recreation and wildlife professionals. Don’t miss this remarkable meeting of the minds in one of America’s most scenic locales!

NARRP invites student involvement. The Student Conference Scholarship program assists students who would like to attend the annual conference. There are a limited number of scholarships available. A scholarship of a maximum of $500 will be awarded to cover lodging, meals and travel. Conference registration fees are waived for scholarship recipients. A NARRP student membership ($33 value) will be deducted from the scholarship. Scholarship awardees will receive their scholarship award upon arrival at the conference and will be expected to help with the conference registration table for a few hours (a great opportunity to network and meet people).
To apply, submit a student conference scholarship application by March 14, 2008. To be considered complete, the application must include:
1. The Student Conference Scholarship Form (including: name, address, email, phone number, university, area of study, class year, name of major professor/academic advisor, and an estimate of anticipated conference expenses).

3. A reference letter from your major professor/academic advisor. Please notify them that they may also be contacted as a reference.
4. Statement of career aspirations and narrative about how your participation in the NARRP conference will benefit you. Please limit your response to no more then 500 words.
Awards are based on need, academic performance, contributions to the field, and willingness to give back to NARRP. Awardees will be recognized at the conference and invited to attend the NARRP Board of Directors meeting.
